gpl3.palamida.com, a site who monitors the conversions to GPLv3 and
LGPLv3, he notes: “out of the 3,205 projects licensed under GPLv2
or later, about 8 percent of them have moved to the GPLv3.”

“As I am writing this, gpl3.palamida.com lists 291 conversions
to GPLv2, and 3297 projects under GPLv2 or Later. I assume
291/(291+3297)*100 still means about 8%.

“How come that various people are getting so fond of GPLv3,
while usually people fail to agree on delicate issues (pro-life vs.
pro-choice; social policies; more guns vs. more gun control;
etc.)…?”
