Australian IT: GPL ‘flawed’, but MS loves open source

“LINUX distributors Red Hat and S.u.S.E are failing the
technology industry by giving away software, Microsoft’s chief
technical officer says.

In a wide-ranging interview, Craig Mundie told The Australian
Microsoft “loved open source” but saw no value in the general
public license (GPL).

The GPL is commonly used to distribute source code for free. In
its most common form, the GPL does not allow developers to charge
for any product based on code released under the licence.”
