“NMS Communications has introduced a new Linux version
of its development product to help code writers produce
conferencing, unified messaging and other telecom applications on
the open source operating system. The move to offer Natural Access for Linux is in response to
customer requests. The Framingham, Mass., firm currently offers the
tool for Window NT, Windows 2000, SPARC Solaris and Intel Solaris
platforms.‘As a provider of system building blocks in addition to whole
systems, the need was clear to us,’ said Michael Welles, an NMS
vice president. ‘Developers adopting Linux are attracted by big
capabilities for little cost – rewards that carry through to the
end-customer.'”
