“GraphOn Corporation, www.graphon.com, a leading provider of
thin, server-based connectivity software announced a software
licensing agreement with Corel Corporation (NASDAQ-COSFF) that
enables deployment of Linux(R), UNIX(R) and X Window applications
over the Internet. The non-exclusive agreement lets Corel embed
GraphOn’s technology and GO-Joe(TM) Java(TM) client software in its
WordPerfect(R) for Linux application for deployment over the
Internet from any Java-enabled device without requiring the user to
have Linux on his or her desktop.”

“GraphOn’s licensing arrangement with Corel follows GraphOn’s
December 1998 acquisition of Corel’s Java-based jBridge(TM)
technology, which enables users to run 32-bit Windows applications
from a variety of client platforms. In exchange, Corel received a
25 percent stake in GraphOn Corporation. When jBridge is added to
GraphOn’s existing thin server-based products (GO-Global(TM),
GO-Joe(TM) and GO-Between(TM)) the result is a choice of
connections that lets any desktop or device run any application on
any server over any network, dial-up or web browser.”
