BW: Cygnus Announces New Software Development Environment for Nintendo Game Boy Advance

“Cygnus Solutions, a leading provider of open source software,
today announced the availability of a software development
environment for the Nintendo Co., Ltd. Game Boy Advance video game
system.”

“Cygnus GNUPro(R), the commercial version of the open-source GNU
tools for developing Linux and embedded, post-PC centric
applications, is being delivered to Game Boy Advance developers to
enable the rapid development and deployment of game titles.
Nintendo is expected to ship Game Boy Advance in August 2000. Game
Boy Advance is the next generation of Game Boy Series, which has
shipped more than 80 million units….”

already use GNU technology, will benefit from using Cygnus GNUPro
tools to deliver game titles rapidly and cost-effectively
