BW: Dialogic Broadens Platform Support With the Addition of the Linux Operating System

“Dialogic, an Intel Company and the global leader in open
computer telephony (CT), today announced its plans to support the
Linux(TM) operating system (OS), initially with Red Hat(R) Linux,
broadening the list of platforms the company supports. This
latest addition enables Dialogic to offer customers a reliable,
high performance operating system–at an entry level price. Those
companies that choose to use the Linux operating system will be
adopting the only completely open OS that enables an IT department
to deploy applications at Internet speeds.

“As the Linux market began to mature over the last year, more
and more of our customers have requested that we add Linux to the
list of platforms we support because it is such a powerful, yet
cost effective platform,” said Art Herzog, strategic marketing
manager at Dialogic. “Now those customers that do chose to adopt
Linux will find that their developers can leverage it to build
enhanced CT applications based on Dialogic components.”

“Dialogic’s addition of Red Hat Linux to its OS platform list is
an indication that the platform is ready to handle the needs of
major businesses,” said Paul McNamara, general manager, Enterprise
Business Unit at Red Hat, Inc. “With Dialogic’s standard CT
platform support on top of Red Hat’s business-ready Linux products
and services, the industry has another powerful combination for
developing CT server applications.”
