“Dirig Software, Inc. today announced here at the OpenView 2000
Conference, a technology alliance with Hewlett-Packard Company that
will allow HP OpenView customers to manage mission critical
eBusiness applications in the emerging Linux marketplace.

Dirig, an early Portfolio Partner, and HP have formed this
strategic relationship to extend the capabilities to service
providers and mid-sized enterprise companies who have requirements
for applications management with both Linux and Windows based
systems in combination with Linux servers running Apache
webserver.”

“Dirig brings solid technology that is an excellent complement
to HP OpenView,” explained Patty Azzarello, general manager of HP’s
OpenView Software Business Unit. “With the rapid changes taking
place in the service provider market and mid-tier enterprise, HP
OpenView must keep ahead of today’s requirements. Dirig’s Smart
Plug-In for Linux and Apache helps us to do just that by allowing
us to bring solutions to these customers on both the Windows and
Linux platforms.”

“The new HP OpenView Smart Plug-In for Apache is expected to be
released in the August 2000 time frame with pricing being announced
at that time. The product will be available through HP’s worldwide
channel partners and through Dirig Software directly.”
