“eFax.com (Nasdaq: EFAX), one of the world’s leading providers
of Internet communication services, today announced that its
paid subscribers can now use any Internet-connected computer to
send faxes and attachments to traditional fax machines.
This
capability, called ‘eFax Send for the Web’, does not require
installation of client software, and can be utilized from any
web browser, via any platform
, such as Windows, Macintosh,
Linux, Unix and others, making it both universal and convenient for
mobile professionals.”

” ‘The proliferation of Visitor Based Networks enabling
high-speed connectivity for mobile users across hotels, airports
and other facilities provides significant growth opportunities for
products such as ‘eFax Send for the Web’,’ said Stephen Drake,
senior research analyst at IDC. ‘As high-speed connectivity becomes
ubiquitous throughout these facilities, services such as those from
eFax.com, provide mobile users with increased options for sending
and receiving critical information efficiently.’ “

“If users want to utilize this new web-based service, they will
need to first sign-up for the eFax Plus service. The eFax Plus
service costs only $2.95 a month with a one-time $10.00 activation
fee plus usage fees which are incurred while using both the client
and web-based versions of eFax Send. eFax Plus subscribers can also
choose local phone numbers for receiving traditional fax documents
as email attachments, or toll-free numbers.”
