“EMJ Data Systems Ltd. (“EMJ”) today announced its second
quarter results for the six months ended January 31, 2000. Sales
for the second quarter were $41.1 million compared to $36.7 million
for the comparable period the previous year, an increase of 11.9%.
Sales for the six months ended January 31, 2000 increased 3.6% to
$77.4 million from $74.7 million the previous year.”

“During the quarter, EMJ released a new version of EMJ’s
Linux kernel: white dwarf linux. EMJ’s Linux is less than 10
megabytes
as compared to most Linux versions that are 90 – 100
megabytes. EMJ specifically designed this Linux for
use in embedded applications.
The major advantage of Linux in
embedded applications, apart from the cost, is that Linux is the
operating system of the Internet, so any company that wishes to
have easy access to their products on the Internet will find it
significantly easier using our embedded Linux. Version 1.0 contains
more than 40 software packages including a web browser, an Apache
1.3.11 web server and email capability.”

“EMJ continues to have an active incubator business with small
investments in numerous related companies.”
