“New Web-Enabled Version of GlobalSTORE(R) Supports Low-Cost
Thin Clients and Legacy POS Systems”

“The new retail solution is the latest generation of GlobalSTORE
offerings — ICL’s award-winning, retail sales management
solutions. It enables retailers to seamlessly integrate customer
service, e-commerce and store systems using their choice of
handheld, “thin client” devices and existing or new point-of-sale
(POS) terminals. WebSTORE is available for both Windows NT(R) and
Linux environments.”

“”Until now, few choices have been available to retailers who
want to protect their investment in POS hardware while moving to an
open software environment. WebSTORE is the answer,” said Austen
Mulinder, president and chief executive officer of ICL’s North
American business. “The retailer gets real-time access to
information from any touch-point in the retail enterprise —
whether it’s POS, handheld or kiosks. Retailers can also choose
between Windows NT and Linux operating environments.””
