“Sair Linux and GNU…the nation’s leader in Linux and GNU
certification, has entered into an agreement with global publisher
John Wiley & Sons, Inc. to provide Sair’s corporate training
materials to training centers and educational institutions
worldwide. John Wiley & Sons contracted with Sair in May 1999
to publish the Sair Linux & GNU study guides which will be
available through traditional and online retail booksellers
beginning in December 1999.”

The partnership will utilize Wiley’s international sales
force to make Sair Linux & GNU Certification (SLGC) — a
comprehensive, three-level training and testing program for
information technology (IT) professionals — accessible to
corporate training centers, corporations and public sector
facilities both in the U.S. and abroad.

“Linux is the fastest-growing open-source operating system in
the world, and Wiley is one of the world’s top computer book
publishers,” noted Dr. P. Tobin Maginnis, president and founder of
the Oxford, Miss.-based Sair, Inc. and a leading expert on
open-source software. “With this partnership, we can assure that
Linux Certification maintains its integrity and value while
reaching the broadest possible market.”
