Stormix Technologies, Inc. announces that Storm Linux 2000
will ship with the VMware evaluation binaries, a software
technology that allows the running of other operating systems,
including Windows, from within Linux.

“VMware for Linux is based on VMware’s patent-pending Virtual
Platform(TM), a thin software layer that functions as a virtual
machine monitor on a standard PC. Using VMware, Linux users can run
multiple operating systems without rebooting or repartitioning, and
easily share data between them.”

“VMware is important to Linux’s future,” said David Talmor,
founder and CEO of Stormix Technologies. “Even the most dedicated
Linux users sometimes need to run other operating systems. In fact,
this ability is by far the most requested feature on the Software
Wish List on the Linux Journal’s web-site. VMware delivers exactly
what Linux users are requesting.”
