“TimeSys Corp., a leading provider of complete embedded
real-time solutions, Wednesday announced the immediate availability
of a pSOS Abstraction Layer (PAL) on top of its TimeSys Linux/RT
distribution.”

The abstraction layer enables pSOS customers to run their
existing pSOS applications without modification directly on top of
TimeSys Linux/RT operating system.

“The pSOS user base is being forced to migrate to a new
platform, due to the acquisition of Integrated Systems (ISI) by
Wind River Systems.”

“TimeSys Linux/RT is the logical choice for stranded pSOS users.
It is important as pSOS customers choose a replacement operating
system to ensure their systems will continue to meet their
long-term requirements and technical needs,” said Dr. Raj Rajkumar,
co-founder and chairman of TimeSys. “TimeSys Linux/RT, which adds
all the necessary mission-critical features of a true embedded
real-time operating system into Linux, ensures that the timing
constraints of pSOS applications will continue to meet
expectations.”
