Canada Computes: Heretic 2: Can’t keep up with the past

“Many moons ago, a little company named Raven licenced id
Software’s Doom graphics engine and put together a little game
called Heretic.”

“This game took a sizeable chunk of my life when it was
released. I completed it twice. Once on my own and once alternating
with a friend. Heretic was one of the most enjoyable games I have
ever played and I still look back fondly at the time I spent
playing it.”

That’s why, after the fun I had with its first incarnation,
the one word to sum up my experience here is “depressing.” Heretic
2 has little in common with its older brother other than the name.
The similarities end there.
