CCN: Corel and Conducent Partner to Release No-Charge Version of Corel WordPerfect Suite 8

“Corel Corporation (NASDAQ: CORL, TSE: COR) and Conducent, Inc.
today announced an agreement which will put an
advertising-supported version of Corel(r) WordPerfect(r) Suite 8 on
the desktops of millions of computer users at no extra
charge.”

“The Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 OEM (North America, English
version), packaged with interactive advertising, is being bundled
with more than 10 million new computers to be shipped worldwide
throughout the year, including those being distributed by the PC
Chips Group of Companies.”

“”With this partnership, Corel is able to deliver the power and
performance of Corel WordPerfect Suite 8 OEM version to a whole new
audience at no extra charge,” said Carey Stanton, executive vice
president of business development at Corel Corporation. “Conducent
is providing technology which allows us to offset our costs through
advertising support while promoting our CorelCity.com application
portal strategy.””
