same event for the first time when the Comdex conference opens here
April 19.”

“Gates will give the Comdex/Spring and Windows World keynote at
9 a.m. Torvalds, who developed the Linux computer operating system
eight years ago while a student at Helsinki University and gave it
away on the Net, will give the keynote ay the Linux Global Summit
at 10:30 a.m.”

“Up to 80,000 information-technology professionals, computer
resellers and business people involved with computers are expected
to attend Comdex/Spring at McCormick Place on April 19 and 20.”
