“The company recently acquired an ownership stake in LinuxForce
Inc., a Philadelphia-based Linux services and support firm, with a
three-year option to increase the ownership position to two-thirds.
Financial details were not disclosed, but the investment should
enable Corel to couple its Linux products with a technical services
portfolio, company executives said….”

There is so much hype around Linux . . . but it’s real
stuff,” said Bill Claybrook, research director at Boston-based
Aberdeen Group Inc. “The real kicker will be in the next year when
applications start porting to Linux.
