CRN: Corel Chief Makes Linux Commitment

“Michael Cowpland, president and chief executive of Corel Corp.,
promised to port the software company’s applications to the Linux
platform this year. Cowpland made the pledge during his keynote
speech at LinuxWorld Expo, here.”

“In an effort to achieve this, he detailed a desktop interface
that aims to simplify the Linux operating system setup and includes
automatic hardware configuration, tight Windows networking
integration and the ability to download security and other
plug-ins.”
