“… held on 4th May, 1999 at the President Hotel, Mumbai…
Here’s what was said and discussed at this seminal event.”

“PPR Rao, Director, Compaq India, lit the lamp that inaugrates
this first seminar on Linux in India. He expressed pleasure at
seeing a large turnout and said that Compaq was gung-ho about
Linux.”

“Oracle’s incredibly excited about Linux opportunities… Oracle
is betting the shop on the Internet. Linux is not just a technology
change… 30,000 developers for Linux were there when Oracle
launched its product for Linux and the number is double today.
People are finding that support for Linux is better than that of
commercial vendors. Bugs get fixed in hours vs. days for regular
vendors. The community spirit is very fertile.”

Much more. A fresh and enthusiastic perspective on Linux.
