Denver Post: eSoft hard on Microsoft’s Gates

Although eSoft has dabbled in Linux for years, the
16-year-old company joined the Linux rebellion in full force six
months ago, when it acquired Apexx Technologies Inc., a Boise,
Idaho, maker of Linux-based Internet appliances….

“In November, Intel Corp. bought a minority stake in eSoft and
signed up to sell eSoft software that will run on Intel hardware.
One month later, eSoft struck a similar licensing arrangement with
computer maker Hewlett-Packard Co….”

“On Monday, eSoft Chief Executive Jeffrey Finn jumped on a plane
to appear on CNBC news in New York. Why is this 190-employee
Microsoft-hating company suddenly demanding so much attention? Call
it the Linux craze. And eSoft is right in the middle of it.”
