Duke of URL: Abit Gentus Linux 3.0a [Review]

“There’s a whole lot of Linux going on lately. It seems everyone
and their dog has their own Linux distribution these days, so why
not Abit?”

“If you’re not familiar with Abit, Abit is a motherboard
manufacturer based in Taiwan who is known for their excellent
overclocking boards, and even as of late, for their rock-solid
stability. Can Gentus do the same?”

“If you read our Gentus 2.0 review, then you’ll know that Abit’s
key feature was Abit’s PerMon, which enabled a suite of features
like temperature monitoring and overclocking right from Linux. This
was all good, but why couldn’t anyone else use this? After all,
Gentus would be required to use the GPL, since they used Red Hat’s
Rawhide code base to put together Gentus.”
