“The drive to provide enterprise developers with robust
Linux environments is gathering momentum….“
“POSSL is based on JYACC’s Panther application development
environment, which is best known as the development environment for
IBM’s WebSphere Application Server, said Karen Sobel Lojeski,
JYACC’s chief operating officer, here last week.”
“The technology enables users to build component-based
transactional applications that speed the time to market and reduce
costs.”
“Developers and engineers can use POSSL to build two-tier
client/server applications, three-tier distributed WebSphere
applications and enterprise Java Bean components. Any application
could then be deployed to many different environments, such as the
Web, Motif and character-based terminals, Lojeski said.”
