“In a move to push the Web services movement forward, IBM
Thursday released the source code for UDDI for Java to the open
source community.”

“The Universal Description, Discovery and Integration
initiative, launched last year, is a multivendor effort to create
registries for Web services, allowing companies to automatically
discover each other and do business over the Web.”

“UDDI4J is a Java API to provide a client-side interface to
access any UDDI registry. The source code will be located on IBM’s
Open Source Zone on its developerWorks site, at
http://oss.software.ibm.com/developerworks/opensource.”
