Ext2: A Look at Tomsrtbt

Linux is known for its stability, but even if you use
Linux, things can go wrong.
You never know when someone will
spill beer all over your laptop or Windows tries to “fix” your
Linux partition. In this case you need a backup and a Linux
bootdisk. Tomsrtbt is a mini distribution, which fits on one HD
floppy. It can be used to repair both ext2 and msdos filesystems or
simply to impress your friends.”

“After you downloaded it, you can install tomsrtbt from Linux as
well as from Dos, which can be very useful when your Linux box
doesn’t boot and all your friends use Windows. To install tomsrtbt
from Linux, simply extract the archive with the command “tar -zxpvf
archive”. After that cd into the new directory (tomsrtbt-version),
insert a blank 1.44 Mb disk and run “./install.s.”
