“A few hours ago, Ryan Finnie proudly announced the immediate
availability for download of the Finnix 100 Linux-based operating
system, after a little more than one year of development.

“Dubbed Oconto, Finnix 100 drops support for the PowerPC (PPC)
architecture, and it’s powered by a Debian-based Linux kernel
2.6.32. Many applications were updated, and lots of bugs were fixed
in the new release.

“Finnix 100 comes over a year since its previous release, Finnix
93.0, and introduces a new version scheme, with future versions
incrementing numerically. Finnix 100 includes updated upstream
Debian software, and Linux kernel 2.6.32.”
