Well, I bit the bullet. Time to test out this ‘new’ flavour
of linux.

“To start off I downloaded the whopping 140 meg package from
www.winlinux.net, and then followed instructions.”

“After running the self-extracting package that I just
downloaded, I was faced with what seemed to be a normal Windows
setup program. I was asked a few typical questions, Where to
install it? I used the default ‘C:Linux’. And what program group
to add icons to. Again, I chose the default “WinLinux 2000…”
