According to something called the “Japan Digest” (12/14/98),
“Fujisoft ABC, a Tokyo software developer, will form a Linux
operating-system consortium in Japan to create a uniform set of
Japanese language procedures and character codes for the Intel-
compatible version of UNIX”
We have no URL to confirm this. Perhaps some Japanese readers
will be so kind as to confirm it for us.
