“After being released over a year ago on the PC, Heavy Gear II
is starting to show its age. However you will soon forget the plain
atmosphere when you see the number of varied battlegrounds,
detailed storyline and team-based gameplay. One of the very few
good, challenging simulations available on Linux.”

“As you spot the enemy on the horizon, your elite Gear squad
advances in perfect stealth amongst the rocky outcrops of the
rugged, desolate environment. On your command your troops spring
from the cover of a rocky embankment and into combat, disabling the
enemy scout with surgical precision. As you deal the final,
devastating blow to the stunned craft, your radar begins to ping
furiously with incoming enemy re-enforcements. Realizing it was a
trap, you give the order to concede ground… for now.”
