Daniel Egger is unhappy with the recent Gimp developers, and is
suggesting that the project fork to allow for more rapid
development.

Mr. Egger brings up 3 reasons why the fork will be a good
thing.

“My idea to circumvent these problems is to split off
development from the official tree and to create a place where
interested people and programmer can meet.”
