Canvas is a feature of GNOME that allows very high-level
manipulation of objects, creating an API ideal for extremely rapid
application development.

The programmer need not worry about redrawing of the canvas
during expose events, the Canvas does this for you.

The latest version of the Canvas includes a new antialiased
