Version 2.1 of the Godot Engine, a cross-platform 2D/3D game engine that was opened up back in 2014, is now available.

Godot 2.1 development was focused around usability improvements in large part. The project’s release announcement explained, “This release marks the conclusion of a series focusing on usability improvements.
