Thumbs up for theKompany’s DocBrowser from GUI-Lords:
“If you’ve ever wanted to get into programming for
either KDE or Qt but weren’t sure where to begin, theKompany’s
DocBrowser is a pretty good place to start. It features a truly
hyper-linked set of documentation for KDE and Qt’s API, flow
diagrams for how code relates, and easy to understand documentation
of the calls you want to use. (more within)I used a Mandrake Freq 2 (post 8.0) release updated with KDE
2.2beta1 for the evaluation. Installation was via a simple RPM
package. After playing with it a bit, I realized I needed to link
my Qt html documentation that comes with Qt to /doc/html. This was
only to enable DocBrowser to locate Qt’s doc’s. While this was a
little counter intuitive, I am using a web downloaded version given
to me by theKompany to evaluate and review… hence no
documentation. This will not be the case for you. After starting up DocBrowser, the first thing to note are the
various documentation sources available to you. You will find your
options at the top left in a tabular organization at the top left
of the window. Here you have your contents, members, index, info,
man, HTML and Bookmark tabs.”
