“Inprise Corp., maker of application development tools, today
unveiled plans to release the beta version of InterBase 6, the next
version of its flagship database product, in open-source form for
multiple platforms, including Linux, Windows NT, and
Solaris….”

Inprise, which has strongly backed the Linux open-source
operating system, says it will disclose details of its rollout
plans for the InterBase source code on its Web site.
