Informix Cyber Planet: Retailer Jay Jacobs Relies on Informix and Apropos

Jay Jacobs, a leading fashion retailer targeting young men’s and
women’s fashion, is currently installing an in-store, Linux-based
retail management system based on Informix Software and Apropos
Retail Management Systems.

Each Jay Jacobs retail outlet will utilize a Linux version of
the Apropos Store ManagerTM and Apropos IntranetTM developed with
Informix Dynamic 4GL and running on a Linux version of the
INFORMIX-SE database. The system is currently undergoing
installation at the company’s headquarters and continue in more
than 105 Jay Jacobs stores during 1999.
