I wanted to ask you about how open-source technology
figures into your environment, and how open source affects your
approach with customers, if it does affect it.

“Well, a few years ago, because we do a lot of work in
government, and we do a fair amount of work in commercial, it
wasn’t popular to use open source. Because years ago, there was a
lot of proprietary, so if you bought one thing you were stuck. And
then we got into more open systems, Unix, Windows… And now we’re
kind of coming full circle to where the pricing on the commercial
products has gotten so high and open source (which is truly open
source, where you can see the source code and everything else),
[has] such a broad support group across the world with the
Internet…”
