of speakers at the Open Source Forum here on Wednesday.”

“As companies move toward increasing Internet operations and
reconfiguring information systems to operate online, IT managers
are being presented with opportunities to re-examine their systems
and adopt the Linux operating system, they said.”

“Speakers at their Open Source Forum tailored their remarks for
IT managers who evaluate which operating system their companies
will deploy. Linux, developed in its essence by Linus Torvalds in
1991, is the Unix-like operating system that was created through
the collaboration of unpaid developers on the Internet and which is
publicly available for distribution.”
