“Corel also announced Wednesday that it won several awards at
COMDEX/Fall ’99 on the strength of its new Linux offerings and its
core Windows applications. The Corel office suite for Linux won the
Byte.com “Best of Show Award COMDEX/Fall ’99” in the software
category, beating other contenders MicrosoftProject 2000 and
OmniPage Pro 10, produced by Caere Corp. The Byte.com Best of Show
Awards were judged on innovation, impact and the “way cool”
factor.”
