months that some of its strongest sceptics have been obliged to
revise their opinions.

This week, we’ve seen the biggest revisionist of all emerge:
Microsoft. The now notorious series of ‘Halloween’ documents —
internal strategy memos where Microsoft assessed the threat of open
source software and formulated tactics to combat it….

So what’s the beef? Well, Microsoft is targeting the very
internet standards themselves to stop the open source shebang.
