New KDE Mascot Available on T-Shirts, Too
May 24, 1999 – The K Desktop Environment (KDE) Team
(http://www.kde.org) recently celebrated the release of the
official KDE mascot (http://www.kde.org/kde-stuff.html).
The KDE mascot, a gentle dragon named “Konqi”, is very popular with
KDE users.
At the same time, KDE announced that t-shirts featuring Konqi
are available from MieTerra (http://www.mieterra.com). “The mascot
design by two very talented volunteer artists is perfect for a
t-shirt”,
said Andreas Pour, President of MieTerra. “And KDE users can
support KDE by purchasing a t-shirt, since we will contribute half
of the profits to KDE.”
