Korea Herald: Linux developer Palm Palm Technology taps into Japanese market

“Palm Palm Technology… has established a Japanese operation in
an effort to enter the wireless Internet market in Asia. The
company said Palm Palm Japan will begin operation Oct. 25 to
develop and market embedded Linux solutions with Japanese
companies.”

“The software start-up developed the world’s first mobile Linux
OS, called Tynux, in June and then a Linux-based software
development kit to be supplied to manufacturers of wireless
appliances.”

“The company said its OS will be integrated with Japanese
partners’ products to be provided to hardware suppliers. It will
also take part in Emblix, a Japanese Linux industry consortium, and
will participate in a standard setting group for an embed Linux
solution.”
