“Microsoft Corp. is likely to face dumping charges for selling
its software package at a rock bottom price to colleges here,
according to industry sources.
“The Ministry of Information and Communication officials said
yesterday it is looking into whether Microsoft violated the fair
business rules in mass marketing its software package which is now
offered to colleges at 54,000 won, which is less than one-tenth of
the original price.
“The controversy regarding the alleged dumping was touched off
as Hangul & Computer Co., a software developer and archrival of
Microsoft, expressed its willingness to file a complaint…”
