It's Sunday afternoon, which means it's timefor the usual release candidate.Things are fairly normal, although rc6 is a bit bigger than I wouldhave liked to see. There's no single reason for that, it's justvarious changes allover.Networking (both drivers and core) is perhaps the most noticeablepart, at roughly a quarter of the changes, but there's a little bit ofeverything in there outside of that: other drivers (gpu, dma, iio, sound, usb, misc..), the usual architecture updates (arm, mips, x86,powerpc), along with a few filesystem and core kernel updates. Andanother batch of selftest updates. So while I would have wished for less at this point, nothing in therelooks all that odd or scary. I think we're still solidly on track fora normal release. Linus
As of today, NVK is a conformant Vulkan 1.4 implementation for NVIDIA Maxwell, Pascal, and Volta GPUs, and will be enabled by default starting with Mesa 25.1.
