Linux and Main: GNOME Foundation 2002 Elections Scheduled

“The GNOME Foundation will conduct elections for board members
at the end of November. Its membership committee has issued a
reminder that only persons who are members as of the end of October
are eligible to be candidates and to vote in the elections.

“Here is the committee’s announcement:

If you want to be able to vote or to be a candidate for the elections, please apply for membership before October 31st, 23:59 UTC. There's only 3 days left to apply before the membership committee closes the applications for the elections. You can apply using the form at: http://foundation.gnome.org/membership-form.php

If you want to be a candidate, please announce your candidacy before November 4th, 23:59 UTC. In one week, all candidates must be announced. You may nominate yourself to run for election by sending an e-mail to foundation-announce@gnome.org with your name, e-mail address, corporate affiliation (if any), and a description of why you'd like to serve. You should also send a summary of your candidacy announcement (75 words or less) to elections@gnome.org.
