Linux.com: Linux Employment Opportunities

As we approach the new millennium, more employers appear to
be in search of some form of Linux experience. For those of us
working with information technology, Linux is now becoming a sought
after skill to have displayed on your resume.

some exposure to Linux and knowledge of various technical
concepts.”

“As a Linux Administrator, you will need to be proficient in
maintenance and installation of Linux. Basically, you have to know
where to find things, make changes, set up and customize system
configuration files and other similar duties. Usually distribution
settings, Samba, Sendmail, firewalls and other software will be
installed and configured by the Linux Administrator.”
