Sam Lantinga…is the creator of the Simple DirectMedia
Layer, a free cross-platform multi-media development API. He is the
Lead Programmer for Loki Entertainment Software, a company porting
best-selling games to the Linux platform.

“Linux.com: Which games are you working on today?
Sam Lantinga: Heroes of Might and Magic III and Heretic II are very
close to being done. Heavy Gear II is in progress.”

“Linux.com: Are there any projected release dates for those
games?
Sam Lantinga: Well, as you know, game release dates are hard to pin
down. Id Software and Blizzard have the right idea saying “When
it’s done.” That said, it’s looking very good for Christmas release
of Heretic II, and Heroes should come out soon after that.”
