Scott Fraser is the founder of Cainux, the first Canadian
wholesale distributor focused solely on Linux products. Scott
helped to found the Victoria Linux Users Group.

“What will Cainux be offering?”

“Scott Fraser: Cainux is Canada’s premier (and first I might
add) Linux software/hardware/solution distributor. We distribute
only Linux software, hardware, and open source products (freeBSD,
GNU, etc.).”

“We are going to be offering a full range of Linux software and
hardware. We are also looking at possibly distributing
miscellaneous Linux products (coffee mugs, T-shirts, etc). Besides
offering products to VARs and retailers we are also going to offer
software support through LUGs across the country as well as through
LinuxCare. The goal here is to not just sell the product, but to
stand behind the products. This may include technical support,
system integration advice, training, business case studies (for
those CEOs and CTOs who want to see what Canadian companies have
done with Linux), whatever it may take.”
