Linux development kernel 2.3.0 introduced

This is the first in the 2.3.0 development tree of the Linux
kernel. It is not intended for production use.

The Linux kernel has 2 live development trees at a time. If the
middle version number is even, the kernel is considered
“production”. If the middle version number is odd, the kernel is
considered “in development”. This means that new features are being
added to the development kernels, while the production kernels are
undergoing mere modifications to improve the features already
present.

The kernel can be located on any kernel.org mirror.

Update: Incidentally, this is exactly the same
kernel as 2.2.8.
