Linux Orbit: The Newbie takes on VMWare for Linux

[ Thanks to John

“VMware, Inc. is the developer of this fantastic product. The
product is available for both Linux and that other operating system
known as Windows. This article covers the version found in the
Linux Distribution of SuSE 6.2, released this past August.”

Now you might ask, why would one need VMware when they
already have the ability of running Windows and as many Linux
systems as their hard drive can handle on the same PC. Well its
because of the need to reboot.
With VMware you don’t need to
reboot because Windows is running as a part of Linux (yes Mr. Gates
I said as a part of Linux) or within Linux, however you wish to say
it. Now in all fairness to Windows (I hate being fair to Windows,
but journalistic ethics prevail), I must point out that you could
be running Linux inside a Windows operating system but we are not
going to talk about that.”

“I thought the documentation of VMware was good and anyone
installing it that has problems, should find their answers
there.”
