“Cdrtools is an important set of open-source programs that
deliver CD/DVD burning capabilities in most versions of Linux and
in some other operating systems such as OpenSolaris. However, the
Debian maintainers of cdrtools have decided to cut the project’s
ties with the program’s primary developer on licensing grounds.

“In a note to the Debian developers’ announcement list, Debian
developer Joerg Jaspert announced that the programmers were forking
‘the well-known cdrtools suite provided by Jörg
Schilling…'”
