“TimeSys has delivered the first Linux SDK for the Aitech
Defense Systems C100, a VME-bus SBC targeting rugged military
applications. The SDK aims to save money and development time by
providing development tools, drivers, and a ready-to-run,
single-kernel, real-time Linux kernel licensed in a royalty-free
model.“The Aitech C100 6U VME single-slot SBC features a 733MHz
Motorola PowerPC G4+ MPC7455 microprocessor with on-chip L1 and L2
caches. The board offers a variety of I/O interfaces, including one
Gigabit Ethernet and two Fast Ethernet ports, redundant
MIL-STD-1553B ports, two IEEE 1394a FireWire ports, two USB 2.0
ports, eight serial ports (six high-speed ports and two UART
ports), and up to 16 general-purpose discrete I/O channels.
Available in conduction and air-cooled versions, the C100 is
vibration and shock resistant for use in rugged military
applications…”
